Relational & Attachment-Based Concerns

Many clients come to therapy noticing patterns in their relationships, such as feeling stuck in cycles of disconnection, over-responsibility, withdrawal, or conflict.
This work focuses on understanding and shifting the underlying relational patterns that shape how you connect with others and experience yourself.

This may include:

  • repeating patterns across relationships
  • difficulty with closeness, trust, or vulnerability
  • over-responsibility, people-pleasing, or emotional withdrawal

Trauma & Lingering Impact of Past Experiences

You may be carrying the effects of earlier or more recent experiences that continue to show up as anxiety, emotional reactivity, depression, or a persistent sense of being on edge or shut down.
Therapy supports the resolution of these experiences so they no longer drive your day-to-day responses.

You may notice:

  • heightened reactivity or emotional overwhelm
  • difficulty settling, or moving between states of activation and shutdown
  • patterns or responses that don’t align with your current life

Anxiety, Overwhelm & Nervous System Dysregulation

Anxiety is often more than a set of symptoms—it can reflect a nervous system that has learned to stay on alert, anticipate, or manage uncertainty in specific ways.
You may notice this as chronic overthinking, difficulty relaxing, emotional reactivity, or a persistent sense of pressure or unease.

We work with individuals who experience:

  • constant mental looping or over-analysis
  • difficulty slowing down or feeling at rest
  • emotional overwhelm or heightened reactivity
  • patterns of over-functioning, perfectionism, or self-pressure

Rather than focusing only on symptom management, therapy addresses the underlying patterns driving anxiety—supporting greater regulation, flexibility, and a more settled internal experience over time.

life & midLife Transitions

Midlife and periods of transition often bring a deeper level of reflection—on identity, relationships, and the direction of your life.
What may have worked earlier can begin to feel misaligned, leading to questions, restlessness, or a sense that something needs to shift.

This may include:

  • reevaluating identity, purpose, or direction
  • shifts in relationships, marriage, or family roles
  • career changes or burnout
  • navigating aging, loss, or changing family dynamics

These transitions often intersect with earlier patterns and experiences. Therapy provides a space to explore these layers, allowing for more intentional choices and a clearer sense of alignment moving forward.

Parenting & Caregiving

Parenting and caregiving roles often bring increased emotional demands, stress, and moments of reactivity that can feel difficult to manage.

We support individuals who are:

  • Wanting to parent with more intention and connection
  • Wanting to understand and shift longstanding patterns that impact how you relate, respond, and cope under stress
  • Navigating the demands of both caring for children and aging parents
  • Experiencing burnout, guilt, or role strain

A Note on Our Approach

While clients often come in with specific concerns, the work itself is integrative.

We draw from attachment-focused therapy, EMDR, and somatic approaches amongst others to tailor treatment to your needs, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model.
